Location

The TORTUE HAMBURG is located in the “Stadthöfe“ in the middle of downtown between Hamburg’s canals, the “Stadthausbrücke“ and the noble streets “Große Bleichen“ and “Neuer Wall“. In the same area that used to be part of Paris.

The TORTUE is characterized by its diversity and a stunningly elegant, French-inspired design – a relaxing but very modern atmosphere. It is a place where the hanseatic elegance becomes tangible reality. International designers from Hong Kong and the Netherlands as well as local designers from Hamburg are responsible for the unique charm of the TORTUE HAMBURG.

Rooms

The TORTUE HAMBURG has 126 rooms in seven different categories, all designed in a very modern and classic style by Kate Hume. All rooms have besides extra-long boxspring beds, generous bath and shower areas, homemade cosmetic products also free Wifi, a free minibar, and free coffee and tea in each room.

Restaurants

brasserie
Hanseatic, cosmopolitan and always trés français – is how you experience the “brasserie“ in the Belle Etage of the hotel, designed by Kate Hume and Stephen Williams. For breakfast, lunch and dinner. The main room and balcony in the restaurant is suitable for a total of 130 people who can enjoy the German inspired and classic French cuisine.

JIN GUI
A restaurant with an open kitchen, Asian inspired, with an international influence. The bar, in its opulence, is international and intimate. Designed by the renowned designer Joyce Wang from Hong Kong, the ”JIN GUI” fits 120 people in the main room. For special occasions there are two individual private dining rooms.

Bars

Bonsoir au bar noir! A place, designed by Stephen Williams, where you can celebrate reunions, business successes or private occasions in style – expandable with the dancefloor and “bar privé“, and home to a fine list of beverages with homemade cocktail creations. More dignified; the small smokers bar “bar bleu“ offers a cozy athmosphaere with excellent whiskeys or cigars.

Meetings & Events

Three salons for everybody! Whether it is in the library for a relaxed seminar or a private dinner with colleagues in our château salon. We offer meeting and event capacitiy for 10 to 24 people in three individual “salons“, each equipped with modern presentation technology and a separate break-out area. Additionally, the rooms have a bar and buffet counter, as well as a fireplace or balcony.

Spa & Wellness

Modern and cozy while you are floating on our extra large box-spring beds. Find coziness in our idyllic courtyard in the middle of the busy Hamburg metropolis. In addition to relaxation, the TORTUE HAMBURG offers an in-house 40 square meter gym.
